Photography Careers Research

Create a new page on your Foxcroft Digital Portfolio titled "Careers," and drag it on top of your "Research" page.
Begin with a list of all the possible career fields that are available to photographers.  Start with a broad list and expand on each one to get more and more narrow.

You will ultimately be selecting a career to align with your final project (see the requirements outlined below).
Begin by researching the many different aspects of this career and also real job opportunities that exist.
Outline the information below and include a list of links at the bottom of your page to document your sources.

Career Description: Include general information about this particular career track.
Professional Examples: Add 10 or more examples of professional work within this field with labels that state the photographer, company, title, and date created.  These examples should be a large scope of work from a variety of photographers with extremely different approaches.

Job Profile: Find REAL jobs that are within this area, the community where you live, or where you would eventually like to live in the future.  The company does not have to be currently hiring.  Search for entry level positions all the way to experts in their fields.  Include the following information one on or more potential jobs: Title, Company & Location, Responsibilities, Knowledge & Skills, Years Experience, Degree Requirements, Salary Range.

Photography Careers Final Project

You will be developing a portfolio of images that best demonstrate your ability to meet the needs of your selected career.  Your final project should be presented in an unconventional way to set your work apart from anyone else that might be applying for that position.  Consider working with materials, tools, and technologies that extend beyond conventional photographic processes.  For instance, this should be more than just a collection of digital images on your website that underwent minor Photoshop edits.  Consider having a physical product, perhaps even 3-dimensional.

Portfolio Proposal: Brainstorm ideas and write out a formal project proposal to complete your portfolio of images.  Add this beneath your Job Profile on the Careers Page.
